The city lights glowed brightly against Ryan's eyes. The bright yellows and whites blurring together into one as his tears blurred the scene. The sky was black, despite the assault of city colors. Ryan shook his head, his brown hair falling over his eyes. Maybe if he blended into the city lights, blended into the sameness of everything around him he could blend out the pain. He could feel it in his chest. The pain, the hurt. It collected there from all those years of taking it. Being an emotional punching bag. Never letting out his anger. Never showing his sadness. Only absorbing it and keeping it buried. Hands in his pockets head down, he didn't realize how few people were actually out on this night.
